What is HubSpot’s Sales Workspace

It’s a dashboard designed for the sales team to track their leads, deals, tasks, and meetings in single interface.

Its built so that the sales team can save time locating assets allocated to them.

I, as HubSpot Consultant, found that the sales team waste lot of their time managing their CRM.

Infact, it has been found that sales professionals spend nearly 70% of their time in non-selling tasks. This seriously impacts their ability to achieve quotas and motivation to perform well in their jobs.

Sales Workspace is one of the tool that can help them manage their leads and keep them organized in one place.

So what can Sales Workspace track

Sales Workspace shares following details;

(a) Lead
(b) Deals
(c) Task
(d) Meetings

So using the sales workspace, the member can see the list of all leads / deals / task and meetings assigned to them.

Now they won’t have to go to different places of their CRM to locate this data – they can have the list all in one place.

The utility of this tool is not limited to get the ownership list; you can also use the workspace to update the details of the leads / deals or schedule any activity against it.


In the screenshot above, you can see the deal details of team member “Preet Karan Bhatia”

On the left side of interface, one can see the overview of all deals in the pipeline assigned to “Preet Karan Bhatia”

On the right side, you can see the details of the deals, like deal name, deal stage, next meeting scheduled against the deal etc.

The Workspace allows the user to change the details of the deals with new updates in the interface itself. This will save user a lot of time from unnecessary going from one pipeline to another.

In my experience working with different sales leaders – i found that there’s no single opinion about this tool.

Some people like it while other have hated it.

it completely depends on the comfort level of the person.

My idea is to introduce new method of working to different people and try to find their comfort level to adopt work process as efficiently as possible.
